spring 2021 must haves

1. floral dresses (duh!)

this is an obvious one but floral dresses are a spring classic and so versatile styling wise. Dress the look up with lot of jewellery or add a pair of converses or vans to the mix for a funky, casual springtime look.

2. picnic rug and basket

to go on all those cute little picnics in the park you obviously need a fun rug and a picnic basket or alternatively a nice big tote bag, then all you need is a latte, your fave fruit and sweets and most importantly good company.

3. dainty jewellery

Chunky jewellery is all the rage and I love it for winter and fall, but for spring adding some daintier pieces to your jewellery collection is a must! You could make it a spring day out with friends and go to your local Sunday markets and support some smaller local creators or even try some DIYing if you're into that. I've found a few of my favourite more unique jewellery pieces at markets.

4. pastels!!!

pastel clothing is the perfect spring staple. Pastel knitwear for that transition from winter to spring is a must, try some fun pastel denim and pastel converses are to die for! I know these lilac chuck 70's are on my spring wishlist.

5. at least one good book 📖

even if you don't love reading I challenge you to read at least one book this spring, it's a great way to get off the screen for a bit. You can lay in the park or sit in a café and read, trust me total main character vibes. There are tonnes of great books out there also some great bookstagrammers out there, if you check out my instagram highlight: blog I'll be sure to share some of my fave bookstagrammers so you can find some good recommendations.

6. midi & maxi skirts

midi skirts are great for a cute casual everyday look in the springtime, make it edgy with a graphic tee and some converses or doc martens or wear a simple singlet and a cardigan with sandals for a more feminine look. Maxi skirts and maxi dresses are more statement pieces and are really easy to style up and elevate for events with a brown belt, some layered gold jewellery, sandals, a brown handbag and maybe even a statement wide brim hat.

7. art supplies 🎨

art is art. It doesn't matter if you don't paint a Van Gogh just have some fun. Abstract painting is a great place to start because its super fun, easy and it will look super cute no matter what, you could try out sketching and watercolours. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how your art turns out as long as you enjoy creating, because that's the most important part.

8. head scarves

super cute, trendy & versatile. Head scarves can be used as tops, tonnes of different hair styles and tied onto your bag to add a pop of spring colour!

9. a bike

if you have a bike you can go on scenic rides and enjoy the sunset. Cycle to a local café or bakery get coffee or a smoothie and ride to a park and enjoy all the beautiful flowers.

10. journal

whether you prefer writing or collaging creating a journal is a great way to reflect and also an awesome manifesting tool. I like to create collage spreads of adventures I've taken or a tv series I really enjoy. Having journal means you can look back at the goals you set later on and see what you have achieved! It's super relaxing, light a candle and play some music maybe even do a lil facemark for self care.

11. a plant 🪴

go to your local nursery and pick out a house plant. Plants add a fresh element of life to your space and looking after a cute lil plant and watching grow is fun.
